Ke Nguyen

Dr. Nguyen is Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

He received his B.S. in 1978, M.S. in 1980 and Ph.D. in 1984, all with majors in mechanical engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado, he joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee in 1986 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 1992. He has supervised 11 graduate students in combustion research and with various projects of the CRG. In 1988, Dr. Nguyen received the DuPont Young Faculty Research Award and in 1996 the Exxon Professor Award. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the Combustion Institute.
